Our terms and conditions

Making any purchase from this website shall be subject to your understanding and acceptance of the following terms and conditions of sale:

Notwithstanding that risk of damage to or loss of the goods shall pass to the purchaser on delivery or collection of the goods, the goods shall remain the legal and equitable property of the Furnishing Design Centre (hereinafter referred to as "the company") until paid for in full by the purchaser.
Payment in full of the purchase price for the goods shall be made before or on delivery or collection of the goods. Time for payment shall be made the essence of the contract.
When payment is made by means of a bill of exchange, cheque or any negotiable instrument the company shall be deemed to have received payment until such bill of exchange, cheque or any negotiable instrument has been honoured on presentation for payment.
The company reserves the right to maintain an action for the recovery of the price of the goods notwithstanding that the property in the goods may not have been passed to the purchaser.
The time of delivery shall not be the essence of the contract and all times and dates for delivery or collection are estimates only.
On delivery of the goods the purchaser undertakes to inspect the same within a reasonable time and to inform the company of any fault or defect within a reasonable time thereafter.
If the purchaser is unable to take delivery of the goods on the date of delivery the company shall be entitled to charge the purchaser any cost incurred for the attempted delivery.
Deposits are not refundable. In the event of a cancellation by the purchaser any deposit paid by the purchaser shall represent the company's liquidated damages arising from such cancellation.
Waiver by the company of any of its rights hereunder or any breach of such rights shall not constitute a waiver of any right or any continued breach and no delay or allowance of time by the company in enforcing any of its rights shall preclude the subsequent enforcement of those rights or of any other rights.
These terms and conditions shall be read in conjunction with the Furnishing Design Centre Promise which sets out the company's liabilities in respect of the goods.
These conditions and the information on the sales invoice constitute the entire agreement between the parties and no manager, employee or other person acting or purporting to act on behalf of the company is authorised to agree or effect any alterations in these terms or has the power to make representations or promises concerning the goods. To be effective, any alteration, addition, variation or exclusion must be in writing on the sales invoice and signed by a director of the company.
Nothing in this contract should be taken to restrict the rights incorporated by sections 13, 14 and 15 of the the Sales Of Goods Act 1979.
Final responsibility to install furniture with difficult access rests with the purchaser.
